Miasmata - Extended Playthrough

Image
Extended playthrough of Miasmata, a wonderful game by indie developers IonFX. It includes visiting most of the areas, finding several plants and creating various tonics and medicines. Despite its peaceful pace, Miasmata offers a quite intense gaming experience, both with the atmosphere it creates combining gorgeous environments, beautiful music and a compelling story. We play as a mysterious protagonist who may or may not be whom he thinks he is, as he is stranded on a paradise-like island, and is looking for natural resources that are thought to produce a cure for a plague that has stricken humanity.

Resident Evil HD Remaster: Hard Difficulty Playthrough

Image
Playthrough of REHD with both Chris and Jill, in Hard difficulty setting. I save all characters and get the good ending in both scenarios. I am mainly using the Infinite Samurai Edge for everything, except the final boss fight. I always have an issue with games that offer limited inventory space, not because I cannot store enough items, but because I am very bad when it comes to item management. This is the main (if not the only) reason why I tend to resort to an infinite ammo handgun when there is one available. Doing so, leaves space for holding other items, as well as ammo for other weapons when you use them. The playthrough features both Chris and Jill scenarios and includes all cutscenes.

Resident Evil 4 UHD - Professional - New Game - No Damage Playthrough

Image
Playthrough of Resident Evil 4 UHD on Professional difficulty, New Game. In this playthrough, I am using the default Handgun plus whatever Leon finds in the way (Shotgun & Broken Butterfly) and I buy only the TMP and the simple Rifle. I regularly upgrade all the weapons in the process. I use just the free Launcher and the Special Launcher (I don't buy any other RL). RE4 is by far my favorite game for this kind of challenges as the design of both its gameplay and item drop is exemplary. It Professional difficutly, the hardest mode it offers, achieves a perfect balance between extreme challenge and pure fun. Of course it requires lots of practice, but it is so gamer-friendly that after some runs it practically leads you to the best possible strategy.  The playthrough includes all cutscenes.  Check also: Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways + Assignment Ada Playthrough

Tomb Raider Legend: Hard Difficulty (Tomb Raider) Playthrough

Image
A playthrough of Tomb Raider Legend in the hardest difficulty setting (Tomb Raider). The only real difference of this difficulty level with the lower modes is the amount of health that Lara loses with every hit. This doesn't add anything to the action, but it makes gameplay somewhat more challenging. This playthrough is on Replay Level mode, so no rewards here. Tomb Raider Legend belongs to the new era of the Lara Croft saga - or better, the mid era. It is a fast, fiesty, humorous and rich game which maybe didn't get the appreciation it deserved. It is one of my favorites of the series, although I am one of those fans who loved the classics. As I mentioned above, difficulty levels do not really make that big a difference, especially if you are an experienced gamer and have played more challenging games. Still, it is very entertaining, and always fun to play in the hardest level. Check also: Tomb Raider Legend Playthrough + All Rewards

Resident Evil: Code Veronica X Playthrough

Image
A playthrough of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, split in 7 parts. It is the PS2 version played on PC through PCSX2 emulator. Includes all cutscenes and FMV's. A classic Resident Evil adventure, one of the best of the series, Code Veronica was released back in 2000 but still feels fresh and fascinating. Code Veronica does not feature different difficulty levels in the main game, its setting being somewhere between a standard "Normal" difficulty and a slightly "Hard" one - especially in the case of boss fights. You play as Claire Redfield for the first half and as Chris Redfield for most of the second part.

Resident Evil HD Remaster: Real Survival Playthrough (Jill Valentine)

Image
Playthrough of Resident Evil HD Remaster, on Real Survival mode, with Jill Valentine. Real Survival is an extra difficulty mode where you play by default on Hard level, with less ammo and health items provided, with auto aim disabled and item boxes that are not connected. I chose to play this challenge with Jill because she has slightly more inventory space compared to Chris, therefore she can keep more items instead of storing them away in an item box. I tried to limit the item boxes I could use, so that it would be easier to backtrack and get something from the ones I chose to use. It seemed like an impossible challenge at first, but as it turned out it was quite entertaining and definitely doable. I guess it is far more challenging with Chris, but still possible.
