The Evil Within 2 悪夢 -AKUMU- Playthrough

Image
A playthrough of The Evil Within 2 in the legendary and insane Akumu mode. Akumu is the hardest difficulty setting of the Evil Within games, where you die in one hit. Practically what the game requires is that you go for a No Damage challenge, so if you have done such runs in the past, this shouldn't be that difficult. Akumu mode in this game feels like a walk in the park compared to the first Evil Within. You still have to be very careful, of course, but overall you can do a pretty smooth run without much trouble. In fact the only place where I encountered a serious problem was the final boss fight, as Myra would randomly hit me, either with her arms or her slimy white assistants, and it nearly became a pain to defeat her. But up to that point, I almost didn't realize I was playing in such a challenging difficulty.

Resident Evil 6 - No Hope - New Game - No Damage Playthrough

Image
A playthrough of Resident Evil 6 in No Hope / New Game. This playthrough is a "fresh start" as they call it, in that I am beginning each campaign with the default inventory and the gear is collected along the way. The difficulty is No Hope, and there is no health loss for the heroes (except where unavoidable). I have done several No Hope runs in the past, but this is the best so far, both in terms of gameplay as well as video quality, because I did it with better hardware. No Hope seems a bit of a nightmare, but in fact it isn't half as bad. In fact there are only a few situations that are truly frustrating, but even those can be dealt with, with a bit of practice. Also playing more difficult games seems to help a lot when you get back to Resident Evil 6. In this playthrough, I am playing only as the main characters (Leon, Chris, Jake and Ada). All cutscenes are included. Check also: Resident Evil 6 Professional S Rank Playthrough Resident Evil 6

The Evil Within - Nightmare/New Game - No Upgrades/No Keys Playthrough

Image
A playthrough of The Evil Within on Nightmare difficulty, starting a New Game, without upgrades and without using keys. I am making use of the big medikits that slightly increase the maximum health as they are part of the standard gameplay. The Evil Within is my most beloved game of all times, and I always enjoy a playthrough, although it is a challenge by default. A pure survival horror game, The Evil Within is a highly demanding adventure that never gives you too much ammo or health items, as limiting these two essential resources intensifies the struggle for survival. Playing with no upgrades and no keys adds even more to this feel and makes the game even more fascinating and its story even more ominous. Check also: The Evil Within: Nightmare - New Game Playthrough
